Orb weaver spiders are most distinguishable by the large webs they create--a circular web that can measure up to three feet in deameter. These spiders are very colorful and easy to recognize. They have a white abdomen with black spots and large red spines.

Orb weavers are nocturnal spiders and many species will build or to repair work on their webs at night. They aren't hunters so they will sit in their web and wait for prey to get tangles in their webs.

Entry and Damage

These spiders rarely bite, but it's important to seal up holes, cracks and gaps in your home exterior to prevent orb weavers entering your home. For more information on orb weaver control and prevention tips contact your Critter Control of Seattle technician today! 206.317.5048
