Drugstore Beetles

Appearance

Drugstore beetles are around 2-3.5 mm in length and are oval-shaped and brown in color. They have wing covers that are lined with parallel rows or punctures. Adult beetles can fly and are attracted to light.

Habitat

Drugstore beetles infest multiple food material such as, sugar, grains and spices. They also infest many nonfood products including, old books, leather and fur. Because they can be a nuisance to so many different materials they can often be a problem in the home.
